Previous program-specific style guides proved to be problematic as it generated a fragmented look while creating an imbalance of time and effort. Consequently, this made all of our marketing to be consistently delayed.
We developed a style guide that focuses on improving our efficiency in our design processes and aimed to unify their visual voice consistently across all marketing.
Working collaboratively with Campus Recreation, we analyzed the 600-plus events hosted each year. By categorizing these events by attendance, it enabled us to determine which events & programs should require more attention.
Focusing on our four goals of streamlining, consistency, versatility, and unification, we began conceptualizing the foundations of the new style guide. Starting with the simple, yet versatile, modular grid, we added unification through the consistent use of typography and certain design elements.
A booklet was developed for our team to reference and guide them through the design process.
