Blackout is a health service app that aims to be a "Night Out" companion. Targeting ages 21 and over, Blackout provides tools such as Blood Alcohol Content Tracker, Group Locator, & Nearby Services to find a safe way back home. The idea is to offer multiple features that encourages its users to make smart and responsibile choices.
To attract our target audience we tasked ourselves to create a design system that emulates “Night Life”. Iconography were designed to echo neon lights while the colors were chosen to capture their glow.
When conceptualizing Blackout, the safety features in this app are tools we designed due to previous experiences. We’ve hoped these features will create an ease of mind for the users while providing safety when needed.
